Guest sentiment
A snapshot of what local diners frequently mention about this location.
"The atmosphere is so cozy and has lots of rustic charm. The food was all great. We liked everything we had, which was all pasta and desserts. Definitely recommend eating here, make sure to make a reservation or you probably won’t get in."
"Authentic osteria, amazing food (seriously amazing). Had the caprese salad just wow + pork caramelised onion and the Beef stew ( the Beef stew was sensational). Highly recommend booking a table. The staff were amazing and helpful. Highly recommend this place. PS the gluten free crackers amazing"
"Friendly staff thanks to whom we managed to have lunch (for 2) at a well located and nice osteria in Siena (without reservation)! In terms of flavor, food is simple and good (maybe the paccheri were a tiny bit salted & the tagliatella lacked a bit of that ragù « sauce »). Special mention to the tiramisu which was the highlight of the meal!"
"Authentic Siena charm with unforgettable flavors! Osteria da Cice is a small, cozy bistro tucked away in the charming little streets of Siena. The ambiance felt like a rustic wine cellar — cool and refreshing, especially on a hot afternoon. We were welcomed by a polite and efficient hostess who got us settled quickly. The menu features Siena specialties, and we tried the Stracotto alla Chiantigiana (Chianti-style beef stew), Pici al vino rosso con ragù di cinta Senese (handmade pasta with red wine and cinta Senese pork sauce), and Tagliatella al ragù di Cinghiale (tagliatella with wild boar sauce). All the pasta was perfectly al dente, and despite the rich meat sauces, nothing felt too heavy. Everything paired wonderfully with our bottle of Chianti. The beef stew was a standout — it simply melted in the mouth. We ended with a homemade tiramisu (light, creamy, and just right!) and a cup of Orzo (barley coffee). All this for under €80, excellent value for such quality! Highly recommended if you're looking for authentic Siena flavors in a welcoming, intimate setting!"
"One of the best pastas I’ve ever had! The pici al vino rosso is a Tuscan specialty, and Osteria Chiche does it especially well. We booked in advance, but some guests were seated right away upon arrival. Every dish was full of rich, delicious flavor, and the tiramisu was especially soft and satisfying. Service was quick and friendly — a must-try spot in beautiful Siena!"
"Amazing pasta! We were able to find a table for 2 without reservation but it looks like it’s a place for locals/friends. The service wasn’t that great, they were a lot more attentive with the other 2 tables and it took a while to order even though they just opened and it wasn’t busy. The bread was quite stale, it wasn’t fresh at all"
"The restaurant is really cosy, typical atmosphere for the region, as well as tradicional menu. We really enjoyed everything that we tried, the starter was great to share, very delicious. The tiramisu is one of the best I've ever tried. Last but not least, stuff is friendly and smiley. :)"
"The best meal we have had in Siena and we will be sure to return. Highly recommended and very friendly staff. Side note- in most Italian restaurants dining is an experience so expect to wait a while to order and receive your food. It’s well worth the wait!"
